Would i be able to get an auto loan for 2000 dollars or up to 5000 dollars for 12 to 36 months.?

You may be able to, however, try your credit union for a loan first. If possible, avoid getting a loan at the dealership, as they will contact 5 or more possible lenders, which will wreck your credit report. Each one will pull your credit, resulting in an inquiry. And the lower your score, the higher your interest rate.

Before selecting the car (especially used) check the VIN number to be sure it was not in a flood or been wrecked and fixed back up to 'look pretty'. Because once you purchase it, it's yours. And telling the dealer to take it back can wreck your credit also if you don't pay as per your sales contract.
